Automatic Coffee Machines

Automatic coffee machines are probably one of the most impressive (and expensive) appliances you can add to your kitchen. The word "automatic" in recent years has come to mean a lot more than brewing a cup of coffee at a certain time of the day. Let's examine some of the automated processes offered by today's automatic coffee machines.

What Automatic Coffee Machines Can Do

There's actually very little that automatic coffee machines can't do. If this sounds like hyperbole, you haven't shopped for a coffee machine lately. It used to be that if you wanted the freshest possible coffee, you'd need three appliances. It was necessary to have a bean roaster, a bean grinder, and the coffee machine itself.

These days, all three of those functions can be found in a single machine. And that's not all, some of the best automatic coffee machines even have the ability to clean themselves. All you have to do is supply the raw materials (beans and water), press a button, wait 30 seconds, and you have a delicious cup of coffee ready and waiting.

Of course, if you're looking for a machine that has all of these features, you're going to pay a pretty penny for it. Most high-end machines cost at least several hundred dollars. If you're serious about your coffee, though, and you drink at least a cup a day, a machine like this can pay for itself over the course of a year when you consider the cost of a daily cappucino at your favorite coffee shop.
